Project to support critical infrastructure (PUKE)

Project duration: November 4th, 2024 – May 4th, 2025

The PUKE project supports the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence (DSN) in the implementation of the RKE Directive 2022 (directive for the resilience of critical infrastructure). It contributes to the development of the national resilience strategy required in Art. 4 and to the most coherent and practical support possible for critical infrastructure. The directive includes the obligation of the member states to support the critical entities in their area of responsibility with measures to improve resilience.

More specifically, the project will develop a basic model that incorporates the current state of knowledge, engineering and practice. Based on this, guidelines, checklists and methods (exercises) will be developed and validated to enable entities to review and optimize their resilience in order to meet their obligation to develop resilience plans.
